If it ain't there… spend your money elsewhere!

The time has come for all Golden Eagle fans to unite and show the business community in Mississippi that we mean business. I, for one, am tired of seeing businesses, especially in Hattiesburg, that do not support USM. During week one, when we were playing Oklahoma State, I saw quite a few businesses that showed little to no support for Southern Miss. Had it not been for the fans in the establishments…you would have never known there was a game that weekend. We cannot allow that to continue!

What ever happened to the community support of USM. There was a time when every business' marquee in town read Go Eagles, Eagle Fever or Beat Bama, etc. I remember going to the bank on Friday afternoon and all the clerks would be in Black & Gold. You do not see that caliber of support today!

We, as Golden Eagle fans, must realize that we have an obligation to the team, as well as the University, to support only those businesses that support USM. (Period!)

If your restaurant, hotel, service station, etc. does not show visible signs of support for Southern Miss…don't patronize their establishment. Look for USM decals, banners, employees in Black & Gold, etc. Plain and simple…"If it ain't there, spend your money elsewhere!"

I hope you will join me in supporting only those businesses that support Southern Miss!
